Pick a segment: In this case, my segment will be college
students, who drive and have a car, are UF students (a place with limited parking),
live off-campus, and have the desire to drive to campus.
Need awareness in the interviews: After interviewing four
people, I found three that were aware of the problem. They expressed that they
become aware of the need whenever they struggle to find parking in a collapsed
place. One example that they all cited was college campuses, not only in UF but
also in other places.
Information search: When the people I interviewed are in
this situation, especially outside of campus is to look for other parking lots
nearby. This holds true especially for parking in the downtown of different
cities. They also look for places that charge more for parking but might have
more availability. They might also ask friends who have been in those places
before to see if they know anywhere to park or have any recommendations.
Summary and Conclusions: After the interview, I got to the
conclusion that college students are definitely among the groups that would
benefit the most out of parking solutions. They expressed the need both for
parking on campus, as well as in downtowns or places that tend to get very
crowded. They would appreciate a solution to this matter.
Hey Richard,
ReplyDeleteAs a college student myself I relate so much to your problem. I have to take the bus instead of driving my car to class. I too ask people about parking places as part of my information search. I think parking has a big opportunity to explore. Keep up the great work!
Hey Richard! I've loved this idea since I first read it and wish it would be put into action as soon as possible so I could benefit from it! But this parking problem is an occurrence at universities and college campuses across the nation and I’m sure in other countries as well. I definitely agree that college students would be your biggest market
ReplyDeleteHello Richard,
ReplyDeleteI’m a perfect fit for the segment you identified. I’m a UF student who lives off campus and drives my car to campus for class. I’m absolutely aware of the problem, as depending on the time I come to campus, parking can be impossible to find. I think I and people like me would certainly derive a great deal of benefit from your proposed project, and I look forward to seeing you develop the concept further.
Great job,
Nolan
